More times than not the football field has saved me.

It’s been there for me to scream and yell. It’s allowed me to let out frustrations without judgement.

It’s been there for me to laugh and cheer out in joy.

It’s been there for me to cry when the chips are stacked against me.

It’s picked me up when I’m down, and knocked me down when I was too high.

You see, the same field that pulls my husband away, is the same field that has saved me over and over again. The football field gives me energy. It gives...

I love Fall. Everything about it. The cooler weather, leaves changing colors, pumpkin EVERYTHING, and what’s the sport that consumes my family? Oh yes, FOOTBALL!

Some of my favorite holidays are in the Fall too. My birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving - pause for a moment of a mental “smell” of Thanksgiving Day feast…ah, heavenly - Fall break and let’s not forget the build-up to Christmas!

And he doesn’t understand that it’s simply football season, and soon enough, Daddy will be back home.

During the season we take the time we can get. So, today that...

Can you feel it in the air? Can you smell it on the dirty clothes in your laundry room? Can you hear it in the talk around town? Football season is almost here! Before you know it training camp will be here, two-a-days, scrimmages; then the lights will flip on, the crowd will cheer, the team will run out and you'll see your man put on his headset with a tightness in your stomach, praying you go home with a win.

Right now, it's just a couple of hours every morning or afternoon. Righ...
